Whether you are downsizing, moving, settling an estate or redecorating, you may want to find a new home for treasured books. Weston resident Edward Crafts tells you how to assess your books’ value, and explains your options: dealers, auctions, Internet sales or donation. Bring in a book for an on-the-spot valuation! (One book per family, please)Mr. Crafts is a bookseller with almost 25 years of experience. His Ebay store (Ed’s Bookshelf) has sold over 6000 volumes, ranging from children’s books to 16th and 17th-century treasures. He is conversant in several foreign languages and specializes in vintage books, illustrated books, classical sheet music and transportation-related items. This exhibition examines depictions of the American flag through 75 works by a diverse group of artists, beginning during WWI with Childe Hassam’s Italian Day, May 1918 and continuing to the present day, including a textile sculpture commissioned for the show from Maria de Los Angeles. The exhibition includes work in a variety of media by artists including Jasper Johns, Faith Ringgold, Robert Rauschenberg, Shepard Fairey, and Julie Mehretu, and challenges viewers to consider who the American flag truly represents and whether justice is available to all.
For Which It Stands… forms part of America250: The Promise and Paradox, an initiative through which Fairfield University Explores 250 Years of the American Experiment.

Phyllis Ehrlich, President, Rocket Your Potential, LLC, and Joel Ehrlich, President, The Harmony Group; Adjunct Professor of Marketing Communications, Fashion Institute of Technology, bring decades of combined experience in career coaching, marketing, and youth development. They have successfully guided young adults in building authentic, impactful personal brands that open doors to academic and career advancement.
The Bruce Museum in Greenwich, CT, invites current regional high school students (grades 9-12) to submit entries for iCreate 2026, an annual, juried art exhibition.
For almost 20 years, iCreate has showcased the talents of hundreds of regional high school students. This year, selected artwork will be featured in an exhibition from June 13 to August 23, 2026, in the Susan and Bill Mahoney Gallery Lobby, and all submitted artwork will be recognized in a video presentation featured in the exhibition and the Museum’s website.
The opening celebration will recognize the selected students and award prizes to the top submissions, determined by the jury and the high school interns curating the exhibition. A People’s Choice Award will be awarded in late August, allowing the public to vote for their favorite piece.

CRITERIA: Artists (18 +) are invited to submit artwork for consideration for our exhibit, “Contrast: A Drawing Exhibition”! All styles are welcome. All works must be original and have been created in the last five years. References used in the creation of the submitted work must be the artist’s own, or copyright released for use in this work.
MEDIUMS: Limited to Black and white: graphite, charcoal, ink, pencil, or conte crayon
You may submit up to three (3) pieces of art for $25.

Join us at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church to learn more about the 52nd annual Greater Bridgeport CROP Hunger Walk and how you can participate to raise money to fight hunger. Hear speakers from Thomas Merton House and Church World Service to learn how money raised supports programs locally, nationally and worldwide. This gathering is on Sunday March 22nd at 2pm. The walk will take place on May 3, 2026 beginning at 1:30pm at United Congregational in Bridgeport.
