Join us for our family program Getting StARTed, where we offer engaging activities to guide families in looking at art together. The 30-minute sessions focus on a range of works from the collection and build in time for participants to try the month’s activity on their own.
Meet by the couches in the Gallery lobby.
Gather your crew and spend the day getting creative at Guild Hall! Each month, Family Day brings hands-on art workshops, kid-friendly tours of our galleries led by the Teen Arts Council, and lively performances from local student artists in the Hilarie and Mitchell Morgan Theater.
It’s a fun, free day for families to make, explore, and celebrate art together—drop in and join the fun!
The Civic Orchestra of New Haven, under the direction of Nadya Potemkina, presents Glow & Grace at Battell Chapel, featuring a New England premiere by Quinn Mason alongside works by Gioachino Rossini and César Franck.
The program opens with Rossini’s witty and energetic Overture to The Barber of Seville, followed by Mason’s Sonorous, a bold and expressive trombone concerto—offering a rare opportunity to experience a compelling contemporary work in its New England premiere. The program concludes with Franck’s Symphony in D minor, a richly layered and powerful work that remains one of the most distinctive symphonic voices of the late Romantic era.
For more than 80 years, the Civic Orchestra of New Haven has been a vibrant part of the city’s cultural life, bringing together dedicated musicians in performances that reflect both artistic excellence and a deep connection to the community.
Join us for a program that moves from brilliance and wit to depth and intensity, bringing together music that continues to resonate across generations.

Come to Georgetown, where nature and the arts converge with the historic Wire Mill and Granite Church.
Enjoy a multi-media discussion with Kate Keeler and special guests about her art and her family’s multi-generational history in Georgetown. Following the reception and conversation, indulge your senses in music as The Collators take the stage, followed by a special set by The Keelers.
The Collators is a band of four songwriters playing original music (and some covers) in the New York City Metropolitan area, consisting of Ralph Dickinson (vocals and bass), Kyle Sutton (vocals and guitar), Dylan Keeler (vocals and guitar), and Mike Friedman (drums). Check them out on Bandcamp.
The Keelers‘ music focuses on what Gram Parsons called “cosmic American music” – rock, soul, blues, country. This dynamic duo features Kate Keeler (vocalist and our event exhibit artist) and Dylan Keeler, who also performs with The Collators. The pair lives in Redding.
Two singer-songwriters host two additional singer-songwriters every second and fourth Tuesday of the month at Dunville’s LittlePub. We tell our stories in song and provide an encouraging environment for songwriters to ply their craft. Hosted by Erik Moses and Bill Dempsey
