  • Join David Bouchier for the annual Victorian Christmas program -- an afternoon of seasonal music and stories about the traditions, myths and entertainments of Christmas a century and more ago. It airs December 14th at 1 p.m. and again on December 21st at 1 p.m.
  • Christmas isn’t just tinsel and cheer. It also has a long tradition of ghostly tales. Radiotheatre’s Ghosts of Christmas Past revives the art of vintage radio drama, with five haunting stories.   • At 8, In Winter’s Glow marks the winter solstice with modern classical music for the season’s starry nights. Then at 9, Apollo’s Fire Presents Christmas on Sugarloaf Mountain turns up the energy for a toe-tapping Christmas gathering in Appalachia, with carols and hymns rooted in Irish and Scottish tradition.
  • The Christmas Revels: In Celebration of the Winter Solstice is a program that brings together traditional carols, wassails, pub songs, spirituals, hymns, and folk dances from cultures around the world. It traces the season from Advent and the Solstice through Christmas, New Year’s, and Twelfth Night. That’s coming up tonight, 8-10pm on 91.1, 107.5, and our music stream.
