Why WSHU tells stories about military life and veterans
WSHU is proud to be a member of the
American Homefront Project
, a public media collaboration that reports on American military life and veterans. Connecticut has a deep history of U.S. defense manufacturing and military training. Suffolk County has among the largest populations of veterans in country — and the largest in New York. Funding comes from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
