Yale University will require its students to be vaccinated against COVID-19 when they return to campus in the fall.

Yale president Peter Salovey said the university is prepping for a full return to in-person learning — including residential programs and on-campus activities.

But he said to make that happen, every student has to be fully vaccinated.

That includes undergraduate, graduate and professional school students. It doesn’t — yet — include faculty and staff. Salovey said the school is still weighing that decision. And they expect to make an announcement in June.

The university said any students who can’t get vaccinated before they come back to campus can do so upon arrival.
