Staff at three mental health and addiction facilities in Middletown, Connecticut, have tested positive for COVID-19.

Six staff members at Connecticut Valley Hospital, two at Whiting Forensic Hospital and one at River Valley Services are in quarantine.

Miriam Delphin-Rittmon is commissioner of the state Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. She says they will continue to work with the state health officials to prevent further spread and exposure to the virus.

The health facilities share a campus in Middletown. A total of 77 inpatients and 126 staff members have tested positive there since March.
