Science is at a crossroads: after five hundred years of study, only 5% of the universe has been studied, with the remaining 95% called DARK. Spirituality is increasingly absent from everyday life, materialism is ascendant: the largest religious group in the USA is spiritual but not affiliated with any organized religion. We deal with the issues of spirituality: the soul, the mind, consciousness, the great unconscious entity underlying everything, with issues of art: labyrinth walking, dance, music, painting, sculpture, and with science: string theory, the microcosm and the macrocosm, the Big Bounce, the 26 real dimensional universe.

Arts in Mind is a free monthly program for individuals with Young-Onset Alzheimer’s or in the early stages of memory loss, along with their care partners. This online program connects close looking at art from the Gallery’s collection with art-making opportunities. Art supplies used during the session may include pencils, colored pencils, markers, crayons (oil pastels), watercolor set, sketch pad, copy paper, and notebook.

Join us for “Museum Movers,” a Bruce Museum yoga class for learners ages 3-6 and their grownups. Participants will explore the Bruce Museum’s galleries using a variety of sensory and experiential modalities, followed by an exhibition inspired yoga class. Museum Movers uses movement, breath, group games and creative activities to reinforce the gallery experience. Come have fun in our galleries and get to know the Bruce in a whole new way. Wear comfortable clothing and be ready to take your shoes and socks off! We have a limited number of foam mats, please bring your own mat.

Cost: Free with admission to the Bruce Museum. Members admission is free with membership. Reservations required.

Led by artists Kristen Hollis and Meredith Ferris, guests are invited to participate in a multi-sensory experience featuring live music, a beautiful visual documentary focusing on fashion, a signature cocktail, and, of course, plenty of inspiration. Create your own work of art, or sit back and enjoy the music and film.

The music of Melissa Capezio will guide you through the evening, setting a tone of creative discovery. Whether you’re painting, sketching, or simply observing, you’ll be invited to tap into your inner artist and explore what beauty means to you.

Don’t miss this experience—where every brushstroke, beat, and sip is an expression of the beautiful.

Full Package: $60, includes art creation, live music, the documentary, and a cocktail. This ticket type is limited to 20 people, so get your ticket today! We will supply the paint, brushes, rags, glue, markers, pencils, and inspiration. Be sure to “dress to make a mess.”
