A documentary detailing Connecticut's oysters' farm-to-table experience was featured at the Bridgeport and Mystic film festivals. The film aims to highlight local oyster businesses and educate viewers on the industry.

OLA Eastern Long Island kicks off its annual Latino film festival tonight. The festival will showcase three Spanish-language films and, according to OLA, aim to bring the community together.

The film, written and directed by Canadian-American Fawzia Mirza and starring “The Sex Lives of College Girls” Amrit Kaur, explores a daughter’s coming-of-age through her mother’s memories in Pakistan.

The New Haven Documentary Film Festival will screen “Black Barbie: A Documentary” at its opening night gala on Oct. 12 at the New Haven Museum. The goal is to create an accessible and diverse world class film festival for Connecticut and the city of New Haven.

The Westport Library will offer “a shortcut” to viewing some of the Tribeca Film Festival's award-winning narratives, documentaries and animated shorts.
