Fast food workers across the country have rallied for a minimum wage of $15 dollars an hour.

New York State is scheduled to raise its minimum wage from $11.80 to $12.50. The increase is set to go into effect starting December 31st.

Long Island and Westchester County will increase minimum wages from $13 to $14. New York City’s minimum wage will stay at $15.

This all goes into effect due to a law passed in 2016 that will result in all of New York State eventually reaching the $15 mark.
