Here's the latest on the coronavirus outbreak in the region:

Suffolk County police broke up a 400-person house party in Brookhaven, Long Island this week. The homeowner had rented out the home on Airbnb. Police say they plan to impose heavy fines on the host of the party, but made no arrests.

On Long Island, the 7-day positive COVID-19 test rate increased to 4.51%. The rest of New York is at 4.43%. The 7-day positive test rate in Connecticut is 5.36%, according to data provided by the state.

Alaska is the latest state to ask Connecticut travelers to quarantine for 14 days or provide a negative COVID-19 test result upon arrival because of the state’s high infection rate.

A Connecticut women’s prison is under a modified lockdown after 23 inmates tested positive for COVID-19. On Monday, York Correctional Institution in Niantic began restricting the movement of nearly 500 inmates during the day to limit the spread of the virus.
