American Airlines will resume flights to Tweed New Haven Regional Airport starting in November.

The airline had said it would drop flights starting to several small U.S. cities in October without additional federal coronavirus relief.

The airline blamed reduced demand for flights during the pandemic.

American Airlines has lost at least $2 billion from reduced ridership in the first half of the year.

The industry is optimistic funding will be approved after Election Day.
