PSEG Long Island said they will reimburse some customers for spoiled food and medicines during the power outages caused by Tropical Storm Isaias.
The utility said it will pay households up to $250 and restaurants up to five-thousand dollars in food costs to customers who lost power for 72 hours or more. PSEG will pay up to $300 for spoiled medicines.
Customers must provide proof, either in the form of receipts, credit card statements, or photos of the spoilage. Claims must be made before September 16.
