MTA Chairman and CEO Patrick Foye

The chairman and CEO of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority has tested positive for the coronavirus. In a statement, the agency says Patrick Foye is “isolating at home, feeling good, and maintaining a full schedule.”

Foye’s last public appearance was at an MTA Board meeting on Wednesday.

The MTA has drastically reduced service on Metro-North, the Long Island Rail Road, and New York City subways because of the outbreak. They say only essential personnel should use the system to get to and from work.
