Civil rights groups say the public demands information as to how a young black man in Stamford, Connecticut, died in police custody.

Connecticut ACLU and the Stamford NAACP have called for the release of body camera video that shows the death of a man who was in Stamford police custody this week.

Authorities say they brought the unidentified man back to police headquarters, and he went into “unexplained medical distress.”

First aid was administered, and he was transported to Stamford Hospital where he died.

Police say the man was not tased, and they will not review police conduct in this case.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
