Cuomo's Common Core panel evenly divided

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced appointments Friday to the panel he established to re-evaluate the state's implementation of Common Core.  The panel is about evenly split between supporters and critics of the new, more rigorous teaching standards.  

Charles is senior reporter focusing on special projects. He has won numerous awards including an IRE award, three SPJ Public Service Awards, and a National Murrow. He was also a finalist for the Livingston Award for Young Journalists and Third Coast Director’s Choice Award.
