Wilbert Roget Reconnects With His Teenage Self In His Soundtrack For 'Mortal Kombat 11'

Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment

Mortal Kombat was the first game series that Wilbert Roget remembers totally falling in love with. The characters and the story were so much more real than those of many other games at the time. As he told me, he was thrilled to have the opportunity to write the soundtrack for the newest iteration, Mortal Kombat 11

Mortal Kombat 11 brings back characters players have spent years with, and gives them many new challenges on the way to restoring the order of the universe. Will says one of the most satisfying aspects of writing this soundtrack was working with truly incredible musicians, some of whom he's known for years, and some he worked with for the very first time on this project.

He told me that the other thrill was getting to create unique themes for every character, something that hadn't been done in previous MK soundtracks. Giving them each a musical signiture was really fun and helpful when it came to getting such a huge project finished on time.

Will's Mortal Kombat 11 soundtrack is available now.
