New York Gun Rights Group Pushes For Second Amendment Curriculum

Jan 23, 2020

The gun-rights group 2AWNY wants New York public schools to spend more time teaching the Second Amendment in class.

Libertarian attorney James Ostrowski, who made his career challenging strict gun laws in New York, has written curricula the group wants state education officials to adopt.

2AWNY claims that schools “vilify” gun owners and gun rights. They say they want children to learn more about the role guns have played in the formation of the U.S. as a democracy.

State law doesn’t require specific curriculum on the Second Amendment.
