    The first offshore wind project to supply power to Connecticut is almost ready to go. New Haven will give 2,000 kids free or extremely affordable afterschool care this year. Forecasters say there may be fewer big hurricanes than expected this fall. And, a trip to the Adirondacks, where a landslide closed a popular trail for more than a year.
