Local superintendents say the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas is a reminder that teachers are on the frontlines of school safety. The Newtown Community holds a vigil for the victims of Uvalde, the State Pier in New London has a bigger price tag than the initial proposal, and an effort on Long Island to preserve the true meaning of Memorial Day.
