Suffolk County Community College Appoints Long Island Native As President

Long Island native Edward Bonahue has been appointed president of Suffolk County Community College.

The announcement was made by the State University of New York Chancellor Jim Malatras this week.

Bonahue has more than 20 years of experience in community college education and has formerly served as the provost and vice president for academic affairs at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida, for 12 years.

Bonahue will replace interim president Louis Petrizzo.
