Three Long Island health care facilities have been fined a total of $22,000 for alleged coronavirus-related workplace violations.

OSHA has cited Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre, Meadowbrook Care Center in Freeport and Huntington Hills Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Melville. The facilities are allowed to appeal the alleged anonymous complaints made by workers.

The violations include alleged misuses of respirators and not reporting to OSHA the death of an employee on the job within 8 hours, as required under law.
