Connecticut will move into Phase 3 of its reopening plan in October.

The state’s rate of infection has remained steady around 1 percent, even as schools and colleges have reopened for in-person learning this month.

Starting October 8, indoor businesses, including restaurants, hair salons and libraries will go from 50 to 75 percent capacity. Outdoor event venues will increase from 25 to 50 percent.

Venues that hold indoor events like weddings have to be capped at 100 people, while the outdoor events can have up to 150 people.

Masks and social distancing will still be required.

Bars and nightclubs will remain closed.
