New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that voters can now request an absentee ballot online.

In August, Cuomo signed into law a measure that allows voters to use the COVID-19 pandemic as a reason to vote by mail. The law also allows absentee ballots postmarked on or before Election Day to be counted.

Cuomo also directed local boards of elections to take concrete steps to inform voters of upcoming deadlines.
