A Connecticut advisory group is considering how to reopen the state’s education system in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Reopen Connecticut Advisory Group is made up of education experts, including state officials, school superintendents and college and university presidents. It also includes the state epidemiologist and president of the state’s athletic conference.

The group will hold a roundtable Monday and will make recommendations to Governor Ned Lamont on the education system’s ability to reopen. Connecticut’s public schools have been closed since March 17.

Connecticut officials confirmed on Friday that some businesses can begin reopening on May 20.
