Traffic Plummets In Connecticut As Commuters Stay Home

Daily traffic volume in Connecticut is at least 40% below normal, as residents and commuters are asked to stay home amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Ridership on CTtransit buses is also down, by 50%. on CT transit buses. Service remains in effect for people involved in essential work. 

The state Department of Transportation says highway and road maintenance will continue as usual.

Construction projects considered essential business will also proceed as planned.
