The Hampton Jitney bus company has suspended its service between the South Fork of Long Island and New York City.

Company president Geoffrey Lynch says the move will help preserve the health of employees and passengers.

Riders who bought tickets in advance for trips that are now cancelled will get their money back.

The suspension will last until April 9, but could be lifted earlier if conditions are safe enough.
