Concern Over Coronavirus Cancels SBU Chinese New Year Event

A Stony Brook University Chinese New Year celebration scheduled for Saturday was canceled “out of an abundance of caution” over the coronavirus.

The university is still at work to help return at least 30 students who remain in China because of a travel lockdown to contain the virus.

A Stony Brook professor was among 200 Americans able to return to the U.S. last month, though they remain under quarantine.
