A Connecticut-based insurance company will limit its insurance coverage of companies in the fossil fuel business.

The Hartford Financial Services Group says it is worried about climate change and its effect on people’s lives and businesses.

The insurer will deny coverage for companies with substantial revenue from coal mining, oil that’s extracted from tar sand and coal-fired power plants.

Bill began his radio journey on Long Island, followed by stops in Schenectady, Bridgeport, Boston and New York City. He’s glad to be back on the air in Fairfield County, where he has lived with his wife and two sons for more than 20 years.
