Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone said he has been diagnosed with COVID-19.

Bellone, who is fully vaccinated, said he was tested on Wednesday after he developed mild symptoms. He will work from home as he quarantines for the next seven days.

His office said no one else on his staff or in the office has tested positive.

It is not known where he was exposed to the virus.
