Democratic Congresswomen Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut and Louise Slaughter of New York are sponsoring legislation in the Republican-controlled House that would remove any doubt that the U.S. Department of Agriculture can issue recalls for unsafe meat, poultry, or egg products.
