Conn. state TV service wins legislative committee approval for a $6 million budget

A proposal that more than doubles state funding for the television service that covers Connecticut government got the nod of a key legislative committee on Tuesday. The state General Assembly's Finance, Revenue, and Bonding Committee voted 33 to 17 to approve the proposal.
