LIE Closes as Long Island braces for blizzard

Forecasters are expecting anywhere from 6 to 14 inches of snow and frigid temperatures in New York.  Long Islanders are bracing for the brunt of the storm with blizzard like conditions lasting as long as 24-hours.   

Charles is senior reporter focusing on special projects. He has won numerous awards including an IRE award, three SPJ Public Service Awards, and a National Murrow. He was also a finalist for the Livingston Award for Young Journalists and Third Coast Director’s Choice Award.
