Crews clean up collapsed roads near Mill Pond in Stony Brook on Aug. 19, 2024

Historic flooding in the region causes significant damage in southwestern Connecticut and on Long Island’s north shore. Connecticut begins its annual sales tax-free week. And young environmental activists in New Haven think locally about climate change.
