Tragedies in Bridgeport advance a death notification bill

Connecticut state lawmakers advanced a bill that requires police to report deaths and other incidents in a timely manner. A new group has gotten approval to set Suffolk’s legislative districts, Connecticut has voted to increase the threshold for no-bid contracts, and an update on New York’s overhaul of the state ethics commission.
