Conn. Port Authority launches State Pier Website

Office of Conn. Gov. Ned Lamont / Connecticut Port Authority

The Connecticut Port Authority launched a website this week to provide updates to the public on the $157 million transformation of the State Pier.

Connecticut Port Authority Board Chairman David Kooris said this website will help the public to learn about the project and its progress.

One of the things to look out for will come in December, when the port authority anticipates a vote on a process that will compile bid packages for various aspects of upcoming construction.

The project is being funded by the offshore wind developer Orsted and Eversource power company. The State Pier is expected to be completed by late 2022.
