Isaias brought high winds and downed trees to East Rock Park in New Haven.

Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont has requested a federal disaster declaration for damages following Tropical Storm Isias in August.

If approved, the declaration would provide assistance to the state’s towns and cities, including two tribal nations. The state would need to describe and report all the damages.

The storm blocked hundreds of roads with debris and flooding, and caused 750,000 power outages in Connecticut. The federal reimbursement would cover 75 percent of the cost to damaged infrastructure.
