Stratford and New Haven schools are the latest to close in Connecticut as the state faces multiple cases of COVID-19.

A person connected to one of Stratford’s elementary schools has been diagnosed with the virus. That’s according to a statement from the district superintendent and the town’s health director.

Officials say it will take several days to identify everyone the person came in contact with. Both Stratford and New Haven schools say they’re closing indefinitely.

Public schools are also closed in several other cities and towns in Connecticut, including Bridgeport, Fairfield, North Haven, Westport, New Canaan, Weston, Darien, Wilton and Stamford.
