Former Vice President Joe Biden spoke at Southern Connecticut State University Friday night.

Former Vice President Joe Biden addressed more than a thousand students at Southern Connecticut State University on Friday, telling the audience he’s worried that President Trump’s new security advisor, John Bolton, could escalate tensions with North Korea.

Biden said he’s not sure how the leader of North Korea will react to Bolton’s appointment.

“When the new national security advisor has advised a preemptive strike…He’s written the last six months about a preemptive strike on North Korea...what does that do to the psyche of the guy at the other end of that system? Does he wait?”

Biden says that he hopes the United States is prepared to enter a long diplomatic process with North Korea.
