2015 Conn. And Long Island Election Highlights

Bridgeport Mayor:

Former mayor and ex-convict Joe Ganim defeated challengers Mary Jane Foster and Enrique Torres.

Hartford Mayor:

Democrat Luke Bronin defeated Republican Theodore "Ted'' Cannon and petitioning candidates Joel Cruz, Jr. and Patrice Smith.

New Haven Mayor

Incumbent Democrat Toni Harp has won reelection.

New London Mayor

Democrat Michael Passero, a city firefighter and a part-time labor lawyer who has served three terms on the city council, is the new mayor of New London.

Danbury Mayor

Republican Mayor Mark Boughton has won reelection. He ran unopposed. 

Waterbury Mayor

Democratic Mayor Neil O'Leary was reelected. 

Norwalk Mayor: 

Democratic Mayor Harry Rilling has won reelection.

Suffolk County Executive

Incumbent Democrat Steve Bellone was reelected.
