US Senator Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut visited the VA Healthcare System hospital in West Haven on Friday to demand officials implement an aggressive program to correct unsanitary conditions at the hospital. Blumenthal is responding to a VA Inspector General’s report released on Tuesday that pointed out the unsanitary conditions.
