Conn. praised for being 2nd state in region to insist on insurance coverage for gender transition

A New England gay rights organization is praising Connecticut's Department of Insurance for issuing a bulletin to the state’s insurers. The bulletin is an order that tells insurers they have to pay for gender transition treatments. WSHU’s Mark Herz reports it’s the second state in New England to issue such a bulletin.

Mark is a former All Things Considered host and former senior editor with WSHU.
