An 18-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to second degree murder charges in connection with the stabbing death of an Oceanside High School student earlier this week.

Police say Tyler Flach stabbed 16-year-old Khaseen Morris once in the chest Monday afternoon during a parking lot brawl. He died later that night.

Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder says they have reviewed at least one video recording of the fight. He asked anyone with information to come forward.

“We’re outraged by the death of this young man. We had people stand by and take video. There’s video evidence that is out there. We’d like you if you have it to come forward and give it to us. If you know of anyone who was at the scene, come forward.”

Ryder says Flach was arrested in May for an alleged road rage incident, and again this month for alleged possession of a controlled substance.

An attorney for Flach says there is “vital information about what happened that’s not captured on video that completely changes this case.”
