Josef Suk was just 18 when he wrote his Serenade for Strings. A student of Antonín Dvořák, but already with a voice of his own. It’s warm, expressive, and remarkably assured for such a young composer. Hear the Serenade for Strings, one of Josef Suk's most popular pieces, tonight on WSHU, 91.1, 107.5, and our music stream.

Julie Freddino is WSHU's Program Director. She also produces Sunday Baroque.
