From WSHU's daytime and evening classical programs, Emily Boyer and Lauren Rico give you a heads-up on some of the best music they've selected.

Listen tonight: Hilary Hahn

O.J. Slaughter

Beethoven’s Violin Concerto wasn’t always a staple of the repertoire. Its premiere was poorly received, and it was largely forgotten for decades. Tonight on WSHU, hear an 18-year-old Hilary Hahn bring her expressive depth and clarity to this now-beloved work, performing with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

Julie Freddino is WSHU's program director. She also hosts Sunday Spotlight and produces Sunday Baroque.
