Set design for Act I from Daphnis and Chloe, 1912.

Daphnis and Chloe is the story of two young shepherds who fall in love—but their journey is anything but simple. Kidnappings, pirates, and raiders test their bond. Ravel set this love story to music, and you can hear it tonight on 91.1, 107.5, and our music stream.

Julie Freddino is WSHU's program director. She also hosts Sunday Spotlight and produces Sunday Baroque.
