Robert Schumann wrote his 3rd Symphony at the beginning of his tenure as municipal music director in Düsseldorf. With the town right on the scenic Rhine River, it didn’t take long for the piece to pick up the nickname "The Rhenish." Hear it tonight at 8 p.m. on 91.1, 107.5 and on our music stream.
