Lord Howe Island, in the South Pacific, is once again home to some of its namesake insects — but only in captivity so far.

Our music tonight includes works by two composers who found a new world of inspiration in Bali and Fiji: Colin McPhee and Michael Torke. Tune in at 8pm on 91.1 and 107.5 FM and our music stream.

Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Kate Remington joined WSHU in December of 2000, and she's been WSHU's Music Director since 2002.
