At the moment when Eric Ewazen was considering writing a piece of music in memory of his father, he was approached by oboist Linda Strommen, who wanted a piece to honor her father. Tonight we'll hear Ewazen's joyful memorial concerto: Down a River of Time. Tune in at 8 p.m. on 91.1 and 107.5 FM and our music stream.

Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Kate Remington joined WSHU in December of 2000, and she's been WSHU's Music Director since 2002.
