Richard Strauss had a life-long love of wind instruments, so he was happy to write a concerto for an American GI who appeared on his doorstep after World War 2.  We'll enjoy the Oboe Concerto during our morning music beginning at 9 am on 91.1 and 107.5 FM nnd our music stream.

Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Kate Remington joined WSHU in December of 2000, and she's been WSHU's Music Director since 2002.
