Raindrops are shaped liked tears, right? Not according to the US Geological Survey! Apparently they vary in shape, depending on how big they are…small raindrops are spherical, larger ones are shaped more like a hamburger bun and the really big ones fall in the shape of a parachute before breaking up into smaller drops. This afternoon, we’ll have an opportunity to experience the SOUND of raindrops in a prelude by Frederic Chopin.

For more than 20 years, Lauren has demystified classical music for her audiences by taking it off a dusty old pedestal and putting it into a modern context. She lives on Long Island with her husband and two punky schnauzers.
